Bounty Crumble Bar Recipe


Recipe : Bounty Crumble Bar

Ingredients :

2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp raw sugar
2 tbsp butter
1 cup rye meal
1/2 cup buckwheat
1/2 cup rice bran
1/2 oat grits
1/2 cup wheat germ
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup drained crushed pineapple
1 cup coconut

Method :

Melt together in a small pan the honey, sugar and butter. Place rye meal, buckwheat, bran, grits and wheat germ in a mixing bowl and stir in the baking powder thoroughly. Make a well in the middle and pour in the melted ingredients. Mix and stir until the mixture looks like wetted crumbs.

Prepare 23cm (9") square tin by greasing and press half of the mixture in the bottom. Mix milk, pineapple and coconut together and spread over the bottom layer. Put the remaining mixture of meals on top, press down evenly all over and bake. When cold cut into slices.

Oven 350F

Makes 18 slices
