Choc Chip Cookies Recipe
Recipe : Choc Chip Cookies
Ingredients :
2 1/4 cups white plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp reduced fat butter/margarine
1/4 cup brown sugar, loosely packed (40g)
1 tsp vanilla essence
5 egg whites
1/2 cup Splenda artificial sweetener powder
1/3 cup corn syrup
100g dark choc chips
Method :
Preheat
oven to 190C. Lightly spray 2 flat cookie trays with vegetable oil
spray. Sift flour, baking powder and soda together into a large
bowl. Repeat process. Set aside.
Using a
large bowl, cream the butter and gradually add in the brown sugar.
Beat well and then add the vanilla essence. In a separate bowl beat
the egg whites until fluffy, gradually add the artificial sweetener
and then the corn syrup.
Add the egg
white mixture to the creamed butter and mix well. Gradually stir in
the sifted flour mixture until combined. Fold in the choc chops.
Drop
teaspoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets - leaving 3cms or more
between each cookie. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool for 5 minutes and then remove from trays and cool on wire
racks.
