Recipe : Star Fruit Mille Feuille
Ingredients :
1 sheet ready made puff pastry
Filing
1 star fruit
50ml sweeten cream
1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
Mango Juice
100g mango flesh
3 tbsp orange juice
Method :
Preheat oven to 220C for about 10 minutes. Grease a baking tray. Set
aside. Slice the star fruit and set aside. Slightly roll out the
puff pastry. Cut it into six 3" x 3" squares. Prick holes on the
puff pastry with a fork.
Put puff pastry on baking tray. Bake in the
oven for about 8 minutes until crispy and golden. Leave them to
cool. Set aside. Add vanilla extract to sweeten cream and beat until
it stands. Put a piece of puff pastry on a serving plate. Spread
sweeten cream on top and put a slice of star fruit.
Add then put
another layer of puff pastry on top. Repeat two times to make a
three layer cake. Blend mango juice ingredients into puree. Pour the
mango juice one the side of dish. Sprinkle icing sugar on top and
serve.
Frozen instant puff pastry saves you lots of work. Put a little
thought into it and you can come up with wonderful desserts with
great presentation - just like this one.
